Posted February 26, 2019 If you look at our server map (http://deliverance.yaga.host/) you'll notice that most of our water bodies are named. We have Bear Lake, Echo Lake, Shark Lake, Nightmare Lake, Mystic Lake and others. The southeast, however, only has "Serendipity Bay" off the east coast. I would like to ask Deli's community to suggest suitable names for the open lake or bay ("A" in the image below) and possibly also for the sound ("B"). What are they anyway? A fjord, a sound, a river, a bay, a lake...? In the past the name "Dragonhead Bay" was suggested for area "A", but tbh I'm not really sure I can see a dragon head there . The names should be something characteristic for the area, maybe describing the shape or being related to the area around it. I'm not overly creative and not really good with names, so maybe you have some awesome ideas. When we have a few suggestions I'll start a poll - and I would suggest that only Deli residents should vote, with local residents (around areas A and B ) having priority. So, what do you think? Posted February 27, 2019 I might as well think a little about it and see what i can muster for names. A. Seeing 2 people already suggest dragon stuff i am gonna twist the mold a bit. As in my eyes dragons do not really like sizable bodies of water. - Pheasants lake B. As for this one i am torn as i feel the mountain on the side should be considered. As it is kinda hard to miss when sailing past it. - Iron channel/bay

A fjord, a sound, a river, a bay Sure, they could use some names and yes they are more these types of waters than "lakes". Also A could be some type of "cove". I leave it to Local's to name em as I think you need to have seen those surroundings to come up with something fitting. =Ayes=
Posted February 28, 2019 Know what? You are right, guys! I can now clearly see a dragon's head and neck: So, keeping in mind that the prominent summit in the southeast corner is called "Dragontooth Peak", what about: A = Dragonhead Bay B = Dragon's Neck @Ayes: I'm not a native speaker, but isn't a "cove" more like a small, cosy bay?
Posted March 1, 2019 B is more like a "Strait" A narrower passage of water between two larger seas A strait is a naturally formed, narrow, typically navigable waterway that connects two larger bodies of water. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strait I can't see clearly - is our Dragon's Neck Strait, well.. straight?

True, this is more the strict definition of the term, so in this instance it may be inappropriate to call that area something like "Smugglers Cove". I suppose that whole A area is more of a larger protected bay, perfect for the protection of ships during large storms that may scour the coastlines. Maybe "Shelter Bay" then. It really does seem a nice and scenic location for all those who would enjoy sailing the seas nearby. =Ayes=
Posted March 6, 2019 I'm pretty Sure that A used to be called Moonshine bay.I'm looking for the old Deli map that had a name on it. https://forum.wurmonline.com/index.php?/topic/54396-deliverance-updated-map/&do=findComment&comment=582944 Spoiler http://prntscr.com/mtvvdv It used to be named Moonshine Bay after the deed, that first started/worked on the canal that connected the "Moonshine Bay" to "Mystic Lake". Which I finished up later, but before you could mine to all ships depth, so some one fixed up again later. So I still have 5 deeds in the Mystic Lake area, I vote for Moonshine Bay. For old times sake.
