Posted January 10, 2019 (edited) +1 I made a suggestion similar to this a bit ago too. Edited January 10, 2019 by belacane
Posted January 10, 2019 So would it be considered paved? For the function of grazing, foraging, etc? Any speed modification? If it was flat like a road would be easy to do with just basic maps. But wouldnt look as natural as it should regarding depth. Would need stones, grass along the sides etc. I wonder if there is already tile types like this... where grass, rocks, decor is instanced through a mask or similar method. +1 for simple asthetic enhancement. Bonus points for a cart version.
Posted January 11, 2019 It should be as fast as packed dirt. Regarding depth. Normal paved roads don't have any special depth so it just a matter of creating a good texture with depth baked in. And it would be cool to have masked grass on it so it doesn't look empty but I think it isn't possible because it isn't happening when you pave corner next to grass tile. But maybe it is and just nobody thought about it? And surely it can be done as a cart version - dirt road.
