Posted December 13, 2018 (edited) I couldn't say if this is buggy or not, but there's definitely precedent for materials not seeming to match the skill an item requires. This is because the tools/material used are determined by the item's material, but the skill itself determined by the type of item. Other examples: Shrines using Carpentry but made out of stone and improving like stone items Dredges using Blacksmithing but made out of wood (For some reason?) and improving like wooden items Various "unique" items, like my iron small barrel or that one person's steel meditation rug, which improve using the normal skill but use tools/materials determined by the item's material. If the statuette type in question can only ever be found as metal, maybe it would make more sense for it to use jewelry smithing?
