Bring back uses for alcohol

Now that most of the 'drunk achievements' have been removed their is no real reason to make the wonderful various types of drinks. 

  Can we please bring back drunk achievements?

Yes, there are still reasons to drink alcohol.  Like food, they give affinities for skill gain.

It would be very very nice if there was a way to see how drunk you currently were, and a timer for when it would wear off.

As far as I know, the achievements and titles have not been removed.

It takes some more effort to get there since you can't cheese it using a reed pen or measuring jug, but bear in mind that different types of alcohol have different strength, and that it scales with QL. High quality moonshine will get you drunk far faster than low quality beer, for instance.

It would be cool if they separated out food and drink affinities. At the moment, there is nothing that booze can do for affinities that food can't do 10x better. If they worked in different pools and stacked, they could be very interesting for affinities.

Beverages already have some advantages over food affinities:

 

1) preserve high nutrition since bevs dont affect the nutrtion bar

2) easier to store/transport and in some cases non-perishable

3) quality improvements if stored properly

4) able to drink even if water bar is full

 

The only unfortunate part is that you can get a wider range from HFC and better durations from things like pizzas - which is why we need to be able to make mixed drinks!  And make teas have better durations, they're hardly worth making except for a meditation affinity.
