Posted September 22, 2018 Not sure if there's a setting I'm missing, or some technical reason why this is so small, but the underground render distance is massively smaller than above ground - something like 15 tiles. When you're outside this distance, you just see solid black, or occasionally the "black layer" clipping into the rock walls. Posted September 23, 2018 While I can agree that on freedom, being able to view large caves in their entirety might be nice, I urge one to consider that there are PvP implications to altering this in any fashion. My view apparently tends to be on the more radical side somehow, so maybe others might be for it, but I for one would be completely against increased local range inside caves from a PvP standpoint. If it was only the rendering distance, and didn't allow one to see players or creatures that far I might consider, but I don't think it works that way.
