My first advice would be to double check graphics drivers are up to date

Secondly, try swapping from running the game fullscreen to running it in windowed mode and letting us know if it happens still

It's hard to tell without seeing the full log, but I have also heard of a number of people crashing in fullscreen at the specific resolution of 1440x900 screen size (often a 19" monitor).

Whether that is your resolution or not, try setting game options to something like 1280x800 windows resizeable (not fullscreen), then let it load, and once it loads, then maximize the window with the toggles at upper right corner  to fill the full screen.  It should adjust to the correct aspect ratio once maximized.
