891 [Reopened Bug] Planks from thin air still a thing

I believe is still a thing.. just happend to me a couple times.. made Lemonwood plank/scrap from pine. . . magic

Where were the logs before you took them into inventory?

How many were in inventory?

Did you use the crafting window or right click log group?

Did you do one at a time or a number equal to your  queue?

Did you have in inventory more than your queue?

-Logs came from large crate inside a crate rack.

How many were in inventory?

-5 logs

-Crafting window was used.

-used full queue of 4

Did you have in inventory more than your queue?

1 extra log more then queue

 

 

something that i have notice was that it always happend with the last 4kg of the log.

Aye, I remembered you mentioned heavier than normal lag (I suspect latency) in alliance chat during that play session.

I had zero lag that I could tell. I was making planks of Pinewood, ~35ql logs.  I only had 2 logs left at 4kg each ( 2 planks ). I did my normal & filled my queue of 4 in case I failed.

 

I received 4 planks & 4 scraps. 2 pinewood in the 30ql range(expected), 1 cedar ~53ql and 1 walnut ~59ql.  After the first 2 pinewood ones came out, I continued to have an action timer, sound effect and animation as if I was making planks. At the end of the action timers, they appeared in my inventory, just like normal. The Crafting Window only showed my saw. The slot where the logs would be was empty.

While making Hull Planks today from a stack of quality 43 logs, Cedarwood that had been stored in a large storage unit then a small crate in a cart, I managed to make 60 cedar hull planks ... and 2 walnut ones.  I'm fine with the odd plank being a bit weird, but would it be too much to ask for the weird one to be a special wood?  😜   Highlights added.   Crafting on-deed, and dragging boards back to two crates once made (good and low).

Making hull planks from a stack of walnut logs. Though the logs are walnut, the planks identify as something else. 

 

The trees were overaged and chopped down today. Felled trees were in wagon when chopped into logs, which then dropped to the ground. Logs picked up from the ground to be sawed into planks. Yay surprises! I've tried this with several combinations of log quantities. It seems to occur on the 2nd or 3rd plank from the same log.

 

It does not happen every time, especially if the log is not full weight of 24kgs.

I put the logs in the crafting window and queued up a series of sawing actions (4 actions for 2 logs, 6 for 3 logs, full action queue for a single log)
