Posted July 22, 2018 When viewed from below, wooden altars are missing the underside surfaces. In this case, it is on the second story of a building.
Posted July 22, 2018 Looks like its a case of back face culling - not rendering the reverse-side of surfaces, which are never normally seen, in order to save time/resources. The underside of the saddle is the same - you would think it would never be seen by anyone, but sat behind a cart/wagon horse I'm staring through it all day. Posted July 22, 2018 Shouldn't the underside be a separate surface from the top, though, since it's a finite distance away from it (the altar has finite thickness)?
Posted July 22, 2018 (edited) Even if there were 2 surfaces, if both their lower faces are culled, you won't see either. Edited July 22, 2018 by Muse
