When i try to lunch the client from the web page a window flash's up and is gone before i can read it, also there is no error log file to be found.

Have tried disabling firewall, antivirus and other security programs.

Frankly after a few weeks of trouble shooting off and on i am at a total loss as to why the game wont launch.

Any help / suggestions would be greatly appreciated, i have already considered buying an older laptop just to play again.

Do you have 64 bit java installed, or did you get the "default" install from Oracle? They like pushing 32 bit.

Open the console window (type cmd in start menu) and see if either one of those launches the game:

javaws https://wurmonline.com/client/wurmclient.jnlp

javaws http://wurmonline.com/client/wurmclient.jnlp

javaws http://wurmonline.com/client/wurmclient_preview.jnlp

Please sticky this as I tried so many solutions for windows 10 pro and nothing worked. I opened cmd and entered in the third option- javaws http://wurmonline.com/client/wurmclient_preview.jnlp . The game started to download instantly! Thank you for this. :)
