2065 [Issue] small beside table no container anymore

heya, found all contents from inside small bedside table on ground and it cannot be opened now. couldnt find it as change in patch notes, so a bug?

It seems to have become a table now on which you can place things.   

 

At this time it will remain a table.  At some future point maybe we can have both a container plus a table.

 

• The following surfaces can have items placed on them:
  • square table
  • round table
  • dining table
  • bed
  • bench (stone)
  • bedside table
  • open fireplace
  • canopy bed
  • tripod table
  • high bookshelf
  • low bookshelf
  • round marble table
  • rectangular marble table
• New Decorational Items that items can be placed on have been added too:
  • Empty High Bookshelf
  • Empty Low Bookshelf
  • Bar Table

These things used to work like a mini container, it even had a animation when you opened it. They're lockable also. With the update it acts like a table, can't store stuff inside. You can hardly place anything on them as well.

If you pick up or load the table and view it as a container in your inventory/vehicle, can you see the old contents? Some may have also dropped onto the floor.

My friend has such a bed side table. If you had stuff in it, just pick it up in ur inventory, u can reclaim ur stuff. Not sure if you can then put stuff back into it or not.. something to try tho.

@Alectrys  I cannot open a Small Magic Chest placed on top of a Rectangular Marble Table.

 

I did not have the open option while it was unlocked, but after locking it I do have the open option now, but it doesn't do anything.

Yes, I heard of this issue with the small magical chests Xallo.  You have to take the chest from the table before you can open it.  After use, you can place it back.

Hey all, I just noticed that the small bedside tables can no longer be opened, you used to be able to open them and place stuff inside but no longer.

 

I also appear to have lost considerable items due to this change, I had stuff stored in the table.

If you pick the table up the items will be in there. 

 

It's due to the changes with items being placeable on surfaces, and will be corrected when we expand upon this feature. A bug report is already logged for it though
