2025 [Fixed] Crafting window vanishes items

Crafting items through the crafting window into a container seems to make items vanish.

 

Steps to reproduce;

 

- Have a craving for cake.

 

- Look up steps to make cake mix.

 

- Add 45 sugar and 45 wheat into a pottery bowl.

 

- Start grinding the wheat into flour using the crafting window.

 

- Observe as you are left with about 20 flour at the end of the process.

 

- Be disappointed that you can now only create 20 cakes instead of 45.

I just tried this as well, here are some oddities:

• Using the right click menu, it produces the wheat flour 100%
• Only using the crafting window will trigger this bug
• Items do not appear elsewhere in inventory, on the ground, or in other containers
• Event tab says: [20:06:17] You create a wheat flour.

BTW, I got it to happen via right click as well.  My 45 wheat turned into 27 flour and the rest disappeared.

 

I'd suggest refraining from creating inside containers.  It seems that the flour is not the same volume as the wheat so the bowl eats the overflow.  (Definitely not the technical reason for the issue).
