Posted March 27, 2018 In the steam update some of these armor properties are under the epic changes, so is this post inaccurate for non-epic settings? Quote Epic system changes: These changes are activated by ticking the epic checkbox in server settings. .... Changes to metal type damage reduction bonuses for armours: Glimmersteel and Seryll from 10% to 5% Steel from 2% to 2.5% Changes to movement speed modifiers from wearing armour: Plate armour should be slightly faster when worn now. Lowered the movement speed reduction from all helms. Glimmersteel and Seryll armours now have a 10% movement speed bonus. Adamantine armours now have a 5% movement speed bonus. I think the confusion comes from the fact that in the patch notes, it states under the metal changes that glimmer/seryll are changing from 10% DR to 5% DR on all servers, but then down below, that change is listed as being part of the Epic server option only, so we're told its happening on freedom, and that it's not happening on freedom. Posted April 9, 2018 Just so people are aware, on the description of Adamantine and Glimmersteel, Retrograde lists that tools made of the material will create other items at +10% quality, however, VirusMD lumps this together on his chart as being the same as Brass items, which create at +10% quality themselves, despite the two sets of attributes being written quite differently. Posted November 27, 2018 (edited) That is incorrect. Items made from brass come out at +10% QL. Only adamantine and glimmersteel tools have a bonus to the QL of items created with them. EDIT: Also, it may not be a flat 10% bonus; it may be more accurately phrased as "-10% of the difference between created QL and 100".
