Because bows aren't parrying/hitting against armor/weapons so for me it makes very little sense to add damage but when they do parry they take damage. So why would you add damage to something that doesn't need it. You already have to pay for arrows or spend time imping them. Bowstring breaks so you replace that. Maybe go into the bowstring or arrow market?

We don't need to add more chores just because somebody wants to make a few copper.

I wouldn't agree to it for the purposes of reviving the bow market, that is a really silly reason to make a game mechanics change.

That said, I wouldn't be totally against gaining damage on the bow through general archery usage really...

a much better suggestion
although i doubt our combat engine nor animation profile has the depth for such a thing.
