The beauty of Wurm winter

Recommended Posts

You know... there is that old discussion about Wurm winter!

Some of you hate the snow season because of its brightness, some don't like its textures, others feel impeded when doing their highly important Wurm jobs.

But there are also many others who just love this time of year when the winter sun shines brightly through snow covered trees, making our usually dark forests shine and sparkle with incandescent beams of light! I am one of those: I love Wurm winter with its beautiful snow covered landscapes and forests! Here are some of the awesome pictures I took yesterday - and I would like to encourage you to add more! (I didn't want to spam the general screenshots thread with winter pics, so I created this special place for the beauties of winter.)

There are some people who say wurm's graphics are old and outdated.

I simply do not agree with this opinion.

One of the reasons I chose wurm over every other game because i felt it had more realistic graphics.

Please Devs, for the love of all things sensible; if you do any updated interface/graphics, don't fall into the trap of making things 'cartoon style'.

I love this game how it is in Winter .... Spring, Summer and Autumn.

If they'd remove leaves from the trees that shed in autumn, I'd enjoy it more.

Agreed,

Some trees are evergreen, Fir, Pine, etc.

Some are deciduous, Birch, Maple, Fruit trees, etc.

Then of course you have the semi-deciduous like the olive that only drops it's leaves in extreme cold.

Currently the hazelnut and grape bushes shed. (and probably other bushes i haven't noticed)

But there should be a more realistic winter graphic for the fully deciduous trees at least.

Doesn't the birch look correct for winter? I come from a land filled of birch and my feeling is that it looks correct.
