New year treasure hunt!

Recommended Posts

Want to start your new year off on a good foot? (or hoof).

Hidden across the lands are small rosewood chests, named "Happy New Year" Inside is everything you need to get started in the new year

There's 10 on each 2048 size server, 20 on Independence, Elevation and Chaos, and 40 on Xanadu (to make Xanadu a little easier chests are near spawn towns)

So grab your trusty steed, shake off that mead hangover, and get searching!

and again, happy new year!

The Wurm team

Given 180 chests I'm not sure creating 18 gold is a better idea!

Define "near".

EDIT: found one in wild grass about 10-15 tiles from a starter town.

I found another one, but it's empty. Not sure if that's by design or if somebody else got there first and decided they didn't need the box.

Or because you can have only one gift perhaps?

That doesn't appear to be the case. The next three I found were full ;)

Any way to get an idea on how many boxes have been found on Xanadu?  I am guessing but maybe only 5 boxes to each starter town.. just wondering if they have all been found by now?

I found five, one of which was empty. I think three (including the empty) were around Greymead. One from Whitefay. I think the fifth might have been near Esteron.
