Posted December 23, 2017 (edited) Who's testing them? What fits? Anyone try runing them with volume or size runes? Anyone try runes to shrink their items? List below is for the craftable saddle bags as Retrograde has confirmed saddle bags reduce weight by 50% while saddle sacks reduce weight by 60%. Naturally, if something fits in the lesser version it will certainly fit in the other. DO FIT Shovels Tents Great Helms Mallets Frying pans Small Metal Shields Rope tools Small Axe Bee smoker Picnic Basket Fruit Press Backpacks Water Skins DO NOT FIT Small chests Hatchets Pickaxes Large mauls Large Metal Shields Short Bows Small Mauls Short swords Saws Rakes GO! Posted December 23, 2017 [10:40:38] You successfully attach the rune to the saddle sacks. [10:40:53] A small rune created from resources on Jackal and infused with the spirit of Magranon. It can be attached to any item and will increase size (5%) and increase vehicle speed (5%).

Nice work, do some things fit now that wouldn't before? Curious if runes truly will work on them.

Nothing seems to fit, they might want to look into it because, instead of saddlebag I get this message. [10:45:24] A rake won't fit in a saddle.

It appears The Xmas sacks have slightly higher volume then their craftable counter part. I've updated my first post to reflect this. Posted December 23, 2017 You might want to test if the quality of the crafted saddle bags has any effect on what it can hold.

Was just doing that... so far no difference from my 15.xx ql and my 52.xx ql versions. Both are non-runed and hold 5 satchels Edited December 23, 2017 by Nomadikhan

Posted December 23, 2017 WSA: A bug allows more than 100 items to be placed inside saddlebags. This bug will be fixed in an update today. At the time of the update, if there are more than 100 items in the saddlebag the remaining ones may drop to the ground or be destroyed and lost, we will not replace any losses from taking advantage of this bug. Merry Christmas!
Posted December 23, 2017 (edited) Small magic chest fits in a saddle sacks, not in a saddle bags (both unruned) edit: with a zinc rune of magranon, it fits in both. Edited December 23, 2017 by thorgot
Posted December 23, 2017 (edited) Crafted Saddle bags If there are 2 saddle bags visible , one on each side , shouldn't max item count be 200 ? Edited December 23, 2017 by zorako new thought
Posted December 23, 2017 Technically, you can fit 50 per bag, but we thought it'd be annoying to have to manage that manually, so we combined the container into a single one in the interface. You're welcome Disclaimer: item count bugs notwithstanding.

Curious as well. Darn these are cute and I've wanted a saddlebag item ingame for ages... Also - Can you have more than one of these on a horse at a time? (Eg. a saddlebag *and* a saddlesack?)

Posted December 24, 2017 Until its patched, be careful removing the saddlebags while mounted on your horse. They cause damage to horse gear such as horse shoes, saddle and bridle. Haven't tested on barding. Damage is no joke either. I got about 2.0 damge on my bridle when removing and placing the saddle bag back. So dismount your house before fumbling with it.
