Reconnecting after lost connection cancels snow

I've noticed that if I am connected and the current weather is snow, if I temporarily lose connection and then reconnect (without the client closing) the snow is no longer present. All tiles are covered in grass again just as if it were a summer season.

That can be also because winter is now phasing out. I don't see winter anymore when I log back, except on distant trees maybe. Also I cannot collect snowballs anymore.

It happens a lot when you are logged in and the next season begins while you are playing still.  All seasons too.
