Wurm Unlimited: Battle Royal

Hello there!

We release some fun mapmod based on WU. But we dont have enought PvP-love-players for testing/reporting/sugestions. If you want - you can help us with this.

About:

It's classic variation of Battle Royal / Kings Hill / Free for All PvP in WU.

How it work? Just find SIGN in spawn zone of BR-server and click RMB -> USE.

In round:

Find loot (creates/ground/backpacks etc), kill others, ????, you are perfect :)

 

What's we have:

White lights — new zone

Black lights — current zone

Red light — Raydrop (airdrop :) with) better loot ql and rare

Scrolls with spells

Spoiler

Scroll of Thunderbolt (Creature) — Charge thunderbolt to Player or Creature
Scroll of Ice Spear Barrage (Creature) — Charge ice bolts to Player or Creature
Scroll of Thunderstorm (Use) — Cause a thunderstorm near playr. Do thunderbolt dmg to players or creatures. [WARNING] Can do dmg to caster!
Scroll of Frost Blink (Tile) — Blink to target tile and frost all in range ~4 tiles

Potions (like haste)

Potion of Healing — Instantly heals the caster
Potion of Regeneration — Restores some health for a tick
Potion of Haste — Add move speed for short time

Spectator Mode

Spectator Board -> USE in Spawn Zone and you will get Invisiblity and Wand of teleportation.

Use Wand of Teleportation on Tile to teleport to player.

Awesome movie, had this idea after rewatching it myself.  Bump for a great concept. Let me know how it turns out or if you want some help.

For now we need ppls for test (min players for start = 4). Ppls come 1 by 1, w8 few mins and leave =\

интересная идея...

Using the lights this way to mark an area is brilliant. That's a perfect example for using the limited possibilities of Wurm to create something new and unique.

The server is awesome, you just need to speed up horses base speed since they are frustrating to ride, just by a little bit

 

*indepth edit / ideas / stuff that could make it flow better:

 

- increase horse speed, it is a bit too slow, since they use default wurm speeds they are painfully slow, especially considering you can go up mountain sides, keep the speed a flat amount up all terrain.

 

- Archery seems to be harder to do even with 70 in bow skills / main stat (the timers are really long too, default them back to 5seconds)

 

- The map is not the best currently, too many hills and mountains - make a map that has a variety of steppe, sand, rivers (boats that spawn perhaps) and that will make the games more interesting and unique each time

 

- make loot a tiny bit more common, sometimes you get a really really bad spawn and there is not that much near you at all, and you get to the endgame somehow and the people you are against have over 100ql supreme armors and rare 90+ql weapons, maybe balance the loot out a tad more?

 

- smaller map, i feel that it is slighty too big, and decrease the local sizes to compensate, this would be a good concept to test.

 

- spectating, bit hard to say how this can be achieved, but it would be interesting to be able to watch the match after you are dead.

 

there may be other things to improve, but honestly the potential and fun is already there and when it gets fleshed out it will be even more fun to play! (this will take off)

We try to do some of this! 

 

But about some of list:

- smaller map

Its large for test, but its normal for 100 players I think. Btw, we have some problems with map gen, but maybe we will fix this by new map with lower mountains

Here we got problem, coz bow spawn with 2ql strings... We cant find right now how to change this, but work on this

 

- make loot a tiny bit more common, sometimes you get a really really bad spawn and there is not that much near you at all, and you get to the endgame somehow and the people you are against have over 100ql supreme armors and rare 90+ql weapons, maybe balance the loot out a tad more?

100+ql = bug, this items gets from red light, now this is fixed, but we'll see more in this way

100+ql weapons are bugged and cause people to get one shotted btw, you may want to look into that

Tonight (near 18:00 UTC+3) we push update with spectator mode, new map, bow fixes and more :)
