Game constantly goes non responsive

I made sure to delete java 32 bit, and manually updated java 64. My client still constantly freezes up. 

 

This is what I get when I try to close it out.

And maybe anything else in the windows eventlog? Maybe graphic driver crash or whatever?

Does Wurmlauncher.exe mean this is the WU version and not the WO version? 

You should not need to fiddle at all with JAVA on the Steam version as it comes packaged with its own java.

If this IS the Steam version, I found some threads where a lot of Steam users all were getting the AppHangB1 Error, and the various solutions they suggested.

 

 

If this is the WO version then my apologies for my confusion.

Your post history looks like you are playing WO, I am just not familiar with the WO client using that name "wurmlauncher"  too. 

(they used to use jp2launcher.exe or something)

It is mostly WU.... since that is what I've been playing. Did happen on WO also the last time I loaded it up and was trying to ask Alectrys if she knew what the issue could be.

1) can you try some other Steam games to see if they are also affected?

 

2) Do you have something called a "Killer Networking card" (some of the people with this issue all had that, and discussed solutions here). Apparently that specific card has a driver issue that was later resolved.

 

3) When you get similar crashes in WO, do you know whether it also referred to AppHangB1 (but maybe with jpslauncher as the culprit)?

I tried searching the forums here. One person solved it only with a windows reformat. Another solved it by changing their GPU (from ATI to NVidia, but you already had NVidia). Both of those "solutions" probably resulted in new drivers.

Looks like a 2010 driver so I want to check around on driver options. 

Can you tell me the exact make and model of the laptop? (ie, Dell inspiron 530, Compaq 6530b, etc)

Some of the older "switchable graphics" laptops seem unable to use newer drivers.

 

Also, if you are using a WIFI connection on the laptop, is it possible to experiment with a ethernet connection (ie, plug an internet cable into the back)?

Another solution for AppDataB1 issues that came up on Microsoft forums, suggested running a CLEAN BOOT

Maybe try that while I poke around for samsung users who might have had a driver issue. 

There might be issues with internet/touchpad unless you allow their drivers.

Ah. I am not at all familiar with using smartphones as a wifi hot spot, so cannot help with whether that is related.

Samsung apparently  has an update app called Samsung Update, so apparently they no longer keep regular driver downloads.

You might see if that updates some older drivers (most laptop makers thoguh simply redate the same old drivers or otherwise no longer update old models)

 

 

I am still working my way down the list of Wurm users with the same error

so far on several cases involving both Wurm + AppHangb1, it boiled down to a grpahics driver issue:

Is it specifically freezing due to a lot of alt-tabbing?

 

 

Can you test running in windows resizeable  mode and not  fullscreen mode? (maybe you already are on windows resizeable) Pick a generic screen size like 800x600 and only maximize after it loads ok.

yeah but i don;t use WO or IRC :P

 

 

HOWEVER, I would still try that as there are smarter people in the IRC than me on computer issues (full of geeky nerds)

 

A couple of them muight know exactly what ApphangB1 means.

basically its saying to reinstall steam but dont uninstall your games, only uninstall steam components and reinstall, you can also reinstall from their website.
