Can't Install Client

6 posts in this topic

So, I have been gone a long time and would like to get back into Wurm.  Installed latest Java.  Clicked "Play" on the wurmonline.com website, accepted the file, opened with java.  Says it's downloading client...stays that way for about 7 minutes until finally saying "Unable to Launch the Application" or something to that effect.  Here is the loadout that I get from the error:

Noticed that Java was 32-bit.  Uninstalled Java, reinstalled as 64-bit.  Now it gets perpetually stuck on Verifying Application.

Also tried clearing all temporary internet files and installing again.

Thank you for the response :)  I tried everything in that post and now I am at the original state where it says "Unable to Launch Application" after seemingly almost completing the download.  It gives the exact same error loadout data in the Java web launcher as in my original post.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled Java a million times.  Cleared all the cache stuff....Running Windows 10.  Whenever I reinstall java, i go to the download section and choose the 64-bit offline version instead of letting it install 32-bit.  Every time I try to install the client, it gets almost done with the download process in Java Web Starter and then suddenly tells me "Unable to Launch Application."  Can anyone tell me a solution?  I have recently set life up so that I don't have to work many hours and I have a ton of time I can dedicate to Wurm.  I'd really, really like to get back into the game...
