Posted September 2, 2017 2 things 1 a bug the other a request Low memory Launcher is not capped at 1GB of usage, normal launcher goes to 2.8 to start and climbs, low memory start at 1.2 and climbs 1.8GB usage. I have plenty of memory 16gb in my system, was told since I have more it uses more. I can no longer cap it with a batch file, and would like to be able to run my 5-6 toons for a sermon like before using the low memory client. 2) Bring back the server list and how many are on line, I never even noticed it was missing in the unstable client, but sure is missed on the now stable client. 2 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Posted September 3, 2017 Is anyone else having issues seeing certain colors in the new update? Some of the colors on banners and buildings are gone, but the Description when they are Examined still shows that there is an rgb breakdown. Also, do we need to reset all our settings over again? Posted September 3, 2017 (edited) For users that they cannot open multiple clients either because of memory leak or ghost process One possible solution is by applying vram on ur system (if u have ssd only) If u know how to do it use the recommended size that the system suggests for initial size and then multiply the recommended size by 1.5 for the maximum size and then restart. That worked for me as im able now to have second client PS thats a solution for all the games that have memory leak issues. Thats not a permanent solution (you might need to restart after a few hours of gaming so the file cache will delete). Posted September 3, 2017 @monsterix Right-click the wurmclient.jnlp file, Open with -> Choose another app. Press "Always use this app to open .jnlp files" and go into More files - scroll down until you find Java Web Start and if you won't, scroll to the very bottom and choose "Look for another app on this PC", go into C:/Program Files/Java/jre(version)/bin/ and choose javaws.exe @Kadmint Enable FBO Support in the compatiblity tab, and on that computer you should actually have everything in there enabled. Posted September 4, 2017 (edited) All unstable, stable, and low mem clients no longer able to detect java 64 by itself and I have to make a bat file to make it run with java 64 bit. This might be quiet annoying for those who are not tech savvy. With java 32 bit, wurm prone to freeze and crash on 64bit computer. I tested this with two computers. Posted September 4, 2017 @rosedragon Actually, neither old client or the new one decide on which Java they use - it's most likely that an internet browser installs 32bit by default and it doesn't switch to the 64bit version once installed. There is a warning window when launching the client on a 32bit Java on 64bit systems that asks to use the proper version though. @Wingfoot As Java has stopped supporting Windows XP, we have to do the same - JavaFX is broken for that OS on Java's newer versions. However, it still launches fine on Java 8u102. Uninstall what you currently have and find 8u102 here: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/java-archive-javase8-2177648.html Have to register to access the downloads on that page but it's better than getting Java elsewhere. However, it still launches fine on Java 8u102.
