Silver rune of Jackal removes paint colour

I placed a silver rune of jackal ([00:03:52] A single silver rune of Jackal has been attached to it, so it will have an okay glow and increase volume (7.5%)) on my cart and it seems that the glowing part is not working as intended.

 

The cart is painted a bright red, when applying the rune, no glow shows, and after a relog, there still is no noticable glow, and the cart has lost its visual colour (but the rune is still applied) I'm not sure if I am just simply unable to see the glow, but for sure, it knocked the colour right off the cart.

 

[00:03:52] A fairly large two wheel cart designed to be dragged by an animal. Colors: R=213, G=25, B=25. It is locked with a lock of very poor quality. It is made from walnut. It could be improved with a log. Ql: 34.687237, Dam: 0.04459883. The name of the owner, Xarban, has been etched in the stern.
