Unstable Client Crashes my computer

Recommended Posts

I am running unstable client in 64 bit windows 8.1. Several times a day it shuts down my computer and restarts it.  I don't get an error message or anything, it just restarts the computer. This is the only program I have that does this.

AMD A4-5000 APU Radeon HD graphics 1.50 Ghz

8GB ram

64 bit OS   x64 based processor

This is definitely not due to the client itself, my guess is that your CPU is overheating and it shuts the computer down..

You can get some software for monitoring the temperature, and compare the results when running Wurm to what other people are getting on the same processor on load in some benchmarks.

If it's significantly higher, you'll probably want to look at improving the cooling.

Other than that, you can make Wurm less resource intensive by lowering down the settings and enabling the FPS limit with it set to something reasonable.

if you havent already a good place to start is by cleaning the fans and the radiator fins etc.

i use a art paint brush with soft bristles and blow the excess dust out. just be gentle and careful with

what you touch.
