This " org.lwjgl.LWJGLException: Pixel format not accelerated " means your graphics hardware or graphics driver software is not OpenGL capable. You may need to update graphics drivers or if you have discrete graphics hardware java may not be using it.

Usually when this happens right after a JAVA update, it is because you have a laptop with switchable graphics and your graphics control panel is set to look for JAVA in it's "old" location, and not under the new path for the latest java version. That means you usually need to go to Nvidia or Catalyst Control Panel and tell it to look for javaws.exe but using the new java version path which is probably something similar to this:

C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.8.0_141\bin\javaws.exe

(the old location likely was set to version "131 not 141") I am not too familiar with windows 10 and not sure whether it has a slightly different default  file location.

If you get REALLY stuck, ask us for more help. Under your graphics Control panel > 3D Settings > Global, there is often also a way to tell it to ALWAYS use your gaming graphics card and never use the power saving integrated, though that will burn through battery much faster.

If you need more help, explain how much of that you followed ok and how much step-by-step walkthrough you still need. the more specific you are, the easier we can help.

It sounds like you had it set up correctly before but the update in the java version messed up the path so now it cannot find where javaws.exe is (which previously triggered it to use the gaming card, but now has it revert to generic intel drivers)

That's good news because it probably means you have done this at least once before, but long ago, and just need a reminder how to do it again.

it's also possible if you have a Wurm shortcut on desktop, there might be a rightclick mousemenu option to "open with NVidia graphics" or some wording to that effect. it sometimes varies but may look like this:

grcUe.png

If you still get the message <Pixel format not accelerated>  you may need to go to your laptop maker, or to one of the links below, for proper drivers:

ATI/RADEON:   http://support.amd.com/en-us/download
NVIDIA/GeForce:   https://www.geforce.com/drivers

DO NOT go to Windows Update and try to update your driver there, or let Windows auto update your drivers for you,  as usually Microsoft will overwrite your special graphics driver with a microsoft generic version that ignores OpenGL features and only focuses on DirectX. If you already did that, you may need to go back to ATI  or NVidia and reinistal drivers or look for a way to rollback your drivers.

I am assuming this is a laptop with "switchable graphics" , which is sometimes a little trickier than desktops, but let us know if you need some extra help.

Not a laptop but i do have 2 graphics cards. a on board and a PCI-E card.

AAh!!! I did the windows Update

Going to download the "Special" drivers for my card now. Will update in a bit about the results

Update:

Downloaded and installed the Nvidia Drivers and Problem solved

Why would windows update do that its silly...

Thank you for the help <3

Because it is run by MICROSOFT, and they think everyone ahould be using their own proprietary DirectX platform and not be dabbling around in opensource type platforms like openGL, so they like to be pains in the ass about it by occasionally messing up people's systems ^_^

I am quite sure they have a more polite way to word it, though.
