Posted May 6, 2017 (edited) I don't think there is a way. I guess you could go around to the back of the wall add in a new house section build a ladder then the wall and take that section out again that way it only cost you 5 planks and a nail. Edit: Well you might need to finish the outer walls before they let you build the ladder not sure if so then taking out the stairs is your only option. Posted May 6, 2017 Rotate the stairs. You'll get a tile border that way.
Posted May 6, 2017 As Chakron said. The top border of staircases has a tile border always, so rotate, plan, build, rotate back to its original position. I found that one out the hard way after I bashed out 2x spiral staircases when I had to create walls above them...
Posted May 6, 2017 (edited) Thank you so much everyone ! Rotating didn't let me build on the tile edge, had to destroy then make the wall and then make my stairs again ! Edited May 7, 2017 by Soleil
Posted May 7, 2017 That's odd, I've done that before. It's how I built several chains of staircases.
Posted May 7, 2017 yeah, it's messing up now. I tried rotating the stairs last month to get that border edge and it only now works with the spiral ones it seems and not the wide stairs.
