Planter Control of Blessed Lamps on Highways and Tunnels

Recommended Posts

I would like to suggest that blessed lamps on highways and in tunnels be made extinguishable by the planter only to prevent them being put out by passers-by.  This may not be a big issue, but maybe we can make sure it doesn't become one.

-1, sorry, I just don't like permanent things in Wurm.

-1 because

  • People sell accounts.
  • People buy accounts.
  • People go inactive, sometimes for years at a time.
  • People quit, often with no prior notice or known reason.
  • Deeds disband and are traded - most locations see many owners over time.

It doesn't make sense in my eyes to restrict things like this to a single person. Nothing in Wurm is permanent - it's all dependent on players, so we should be very careful what restrictions we wish for.

Then they should stop bitching about unlit lamps.

if the planter became redundant, the things decay anyway.. we can pick them up at what, 60 damage?
I can empathise with a greater need for your suggestion in PvP environments, plenty of reasons to be vindictive there. (lol?)
but i enjoy environments that include the application of human driven RNG. That includes peculiar people snuffing off deed lamps and i always carry 1kg of tar.
