Rarity of container (pan, bowl, cauldron) does not affect affinity does it?  As far as I know the rarity of the oven/forge does, not the rarity of the container the food is cooked in?

The other issue is that we also need to be able to imbue/rune the tool so the resulting mats can be of higher ql than our skill, similar to what happens with woodcutting/farming/mining/butchering/any-mat-using-a-tool-that-can-be-runed/imbued.  Obviously this has to do with woad and acorns for dye, which is where the sticking point comes from as they always used to be random ql wheras now they are linked to skill level with no similar way to increase their ql to what we have for logs/ores/veggies etc.

Yep. Anything different about the conditions, except QL of the items. Pan + bear meat + onion gives the same thing in any non-rare oven. But if you put the same into a rare pan, it changes. Put that rare pan into a rare oven, and it changes. I have not tested fresh vs out of the fsb. My head was spinning just sorting out which pan to use. LOL

I have a bunch of combinations noted in recipe comments from discovery. If I can baseline you, I can find you your affinity. I just have low cooking skill so anything I cook would need to be superhuman in speed with the timers I get. As long as you use my stuff or identical stuff of your own, it will be the same affinity for you. Just replicate the conditions.

We'll work it out in the morning. :D Your broken affinity may not be broken. You just need to add a shoe to the meal. LOL

cooker = oven forge campfire

container = frypan bowl etc

rarity of cooker changes affinity, rarity of container does not.

offtopic: is this the only case of container affecting creation, instead of the 'tool' used?

by container i mean the oven.. as it.. contains the frying pan where the meal is being cooked

also.. does the rarity of other containers affect anything of the items inside (boats/wagons/carts/chests/rafts/coffins/etc etc etc)?

Pan rarity should not be affecting affinity at all.

Why not add 10%~ more time to affinity buff, as +1-3 ql to meal basically means nothing, everybody cares about 90hfc to get to high ql.. and only thing everyone's after are the affinities and buff time.
