DragonM has resigned.

Recommended Posts

Due to irreconcilable differences of opinion with Rolf about the future of Wurm, I feel it necessary to resign as Wurm's lead client developer.  Egal, Kilean, and Zcul will carry on as before.  The parting is amicable on both sides, and is my own choice.

Good luck and farewell, denizens of Wurm.

I don't know how to say this in a non-offensive way, but I saw the signs of this coming.

Good luck with what ever you move onto.

I am sorry to see you go DragonM,  I was looking forward to some of the things we had discussed in IRC recently, and I for one appreciate all the efforts that you put in.

Sad to see another one of the good 'uns go.

Oh well, may Fo, Vynora, Magranon (or perhaps Libila?) shine on all of your future endeavours. Luck be with you!  8)

Thank you DragonM, you made invaluable contributions to the client!

I think specifically on the sound engine, mumblelink and the well thought through ideas and suggestions to solutions that are well kept and alive.

I'll be happy to see you ingame and in irc.

/Rolf

May I ask in *general* terms what the disagreement regarding the client is/was?  I'd just like to get some insight into the direction the development of the client will be taking.  Curiosity, understand.

If it's too volatile, then a simple 'no' suffices.

I say we let dragon have his reasons, and leave it at that. if he chooses to discuss with someone in private confidentiality, that is different. regardless

DRAGONM!!  farewell mate and safe travels. Enjoy the sunshine on a beach somewhere for a while.

all of us players thank you for all the hard work you have done over the many moons.

You loss will be greatly felt.  You were the the one on  IRC that was there for the main player base.  The voice of sanity that we could depend on will be missed among the ppl who didn't have a voice.  Your leaving is a loss for all of wurm and the accomplishments that could have been are such a sad sad loss.  AT least I will still get to play with you on game ....  <3 and  :-*

A pity really - however - if you have your reasons, you have your reasons.

Planning to stick around and play?

:'( I'll miss the occasional insight into planned features and bits of the development process of the client on IRC.

Good luck with your next project!
