Nerf Valeri Creatures For New Players

Recommended Posts

Probably Fair:

Make them non-aggro for players in newbie bonus, all these things do on PVP maps is make new players quit. They swamp the map and are impossible to kill (Drake spirits and Eagle spirits) for players under 70FS.

What'd Be Nice:

Remove the damn things, they serve no purpose other then to be annoying to new players

Get Gud.

Translation: suck it up, some of them have chance of dropping seryll which is nice.

As a rule i disagree with removing content entirely, they do serve some purpose when brought down in the form of seryll or random potions (which can be ones the uniques don't drop). What would be nice is if these drops (1/30) were not pathetically rare.

Most of all I just wish we could do away with Rolf's favourite new combat mechanic after Epic released that still lingers. You've all experienced it, you've all felt it's steely claws grip you in helplessness while you desperately try to understand how your skill as a player or your characters strong stats can help you escape. The avatars have it, the valrei mobs have it and goddamn until recently THE PLAYERS HAD IT.

PLEASE KILL STUNLOCKING.

"Oh i've been stunned, now i will wait ten seconds while i am unable to do any action, move at more than a crawl or fight back. It's ok the stun will be over soo....oh it's stunned me again"

This isn't even a complaint for saving newbie players....stunlock abilities are infuriating for any player.

Aside from pvp servers being inherently NOT newbie-friendly to begin with...

Anyways, aye stunlock needs a cooldown and/or a counter.

try 30 seconds, that ###### lasts forever

I'm pretty sure you can avoid the stun though if you stay just outside the aoe range

This only works for drakespirits and it's really finicky.  The stunning from them and gumps just really need to be removed there's literally 0 way to counter it. avatars are debatable I guess but the gods don't dump 10 of them in random spots daily

I wouldn't mind avatars keeping the stuns if they actually gave anything worthwhile for killing. That's the issue for me "go struggle to kill a thing for no reason other than, its bothering you"
