Posted June 1, 2017 This calls for an experiment perhaps. I bet it is much like the forges, though, but confirming through a test couldn't hurt. Do you have access to one? If so, imp two smelters (the rare one and a regular one) to about the same quality, start both with same quality kindling and fuel with same quality log. drop a certain ql ore in one, time it to see how long it takes to make a lump, then time the other with the same ql ore .
