Posted January 4, 2017 So I spent a good long time trying to find out if this idea had been suggested and maybe im blind but here we go. (1) DO we have a smelt bind key? Cannot find it and if we dont have it can it be added please. (2) Shipping Gems via the great postal system becomes pretty expensive. Just as barrels can be sealed and liquids considered one unit can we somehow do the same for gems. For instance have a box we can create that only holds gems and up to 100. Maybe even a gem bag such as a modified satchel. I know we do not want to get to carried away with mass transportation but Gems are a light weight item so I dont see to much of an issue. (3) There is a suggestion thread for more Utility spells for priests which I think is great. I would also like to suggest another medium for the storage of favor and let me give you a scenario. When I am grinding channeling and do not have lower ql gems to use I mostly have just enough over the minimum amount of favor of 7.5 to zap a normal gem. It gets filled then I use it get the favor back and I am at 13. So i either fill the next gem up to much and use to get even more favor back or I have to cast to waste favor in order to bring it below 7.5 so I dont over fill the gem. This has been a mechanic as long as I know of. What would be nice is if we had an item we could store extra favor in. Now let me be concise with what you can do with it. (1) This storage of Favor can be used to fill Gems at a later date. (2) This favor can be given to the deed with whatever restrictions you want to put in place. For instance it can only go to healing buff and not rarity or channeling etc? (3) This favor container does have a limit to x amount and once filled you have to give it to deed or fill gems with it. (4) This container cannot be moved has to stay on deed and for pvp purposes can be destroyed. (5) You cannot direct fill your favor with it you can only give to it. For ease of math maybe a minimum of 10 favor can be added at once. (6) Filling Gems with this Favor item uses your vesseling skill but gives no skill on success but will fill the max ql of the gem you have activated. (7) Anybody on the deed with permission can use this favor device. Now for my litany of other ideas at 4 am because i have not slept at all For rugs is there a way to modify one that actually fits the WHOLE tile and no leave any sides showing. Pretty sure it would be easy to do overall. Horseshoe imping to 90. I know they are not a combat item and don't get an imp bonus but for mercies sake they are stupidly hard to imp. I am not saying make them super easy but a review of the difficulty would be nice and some mercy shown. I don't know of a blacksmith yet that finds imping horseshoes to be anywhere near the words immersion or fun or game fulfilling. I second the suggestion about if your a deed person being able to move large quantities of items without have to play keyboard games. + 1 to that thought. Ok ill think of more late but would like some honest discussion on the favor and gems shipping ideas.
Posted January 6, 2017 I think there needs to be a re-working of the mail system as a whole. Something that charges per weight not per "claimed item". This is evident when I ship a barrel full of milk, 47 kilos at 1 copper vs. 1 corn, 0.1 kilos at 1 copper. This does not make any sense. I would like to see some sort adjustment where it's more 1c per kilo transported. Thus light items could easily be sent back and forth cheaply. Secondly, I'd suggest a re-work of mailing speed, again based on the weight of the object vs. the strength of the courier cast.
