Posted December 31, 2016 (edited) are you playing as gm? i dont know if it affects that specifically but i know gms have limitations. also, kill one yourself and try to butcher, cant attack as gm again, but as player. also use aa butcher knife for better odds at getting stuff. i think animals fight other animals and can even butcher (eat) from corpses, at least thats the last i heard, cant keep track myself with all the changes regularly to wurm, so if you kill one and can butcher then you know it was another mob that kiled and ate them. if after all that still no luck, then check for mod conflicts if running mods. dont know what else to tell you. good luck edit: 2 more things you can try preferably as player also not as gm. examine the corpse and it tells you if its been butchered (eaten) aalready. 2. click once on the corpse and the actions bar should show a butcher option if it hasnt been butchered already. if you get butcher option and cant butcher (with a butchering tool activated) then its definitely a bug or mod conflict. and by bug i mean a bug in your server.
