[FIXED] Knarr FSB Loading/Unloading Bug

Here's what happened:

 

I had 20,000 pumpkins (1kg each) split into two FSBs. 15,999 in one, 4,001 in the other. I loaded both FSBs into a Knarr then attempted to load the Knarr onto a Ship Transporter. That required more body strength than I had so I arbitrarily loaded an FSB with 12,000 into the Knarr and left the remaining 8,000 on the coast. That worked fine and the Knarr loaded onto the Ship Transporter.

 

When I returned, it said 8,000 was too heavy (even though 12,000 worked!). I was only able to put 3,500 pumpkins into an FSB, then successfully load the Knarr onto a transporter. I was confused, but I went ahead and did that.

 

I then came back to the coast to pick up the last 4,500. Could barely load anything except an empty Knarr! I called a friend and she had the same problem trying to load my ship. We then tried putting the 4,500 pumpkin FSB into her Knarr and it loaded successfully.

 

Just for fun I tried dragging my completely empty Knarr across the water. The game said it was too heavy (I can normally do this).

 

Hypothesis: When unloading an FSB from a boat that is loaded on a Ship Transporter, the item is unloaded but the weight is not removed from the boat.

If this is the case, then we also have two bugged boats that probably need to be fixed. Maybe they'll be fixed with a reset.

I don't think it was ever intended for fsb's/bsb's to be loaded onto a ship, then loaded into a ship transporter to move all this mass in one shot, was there not a recent patch note saying they corrected this loophole?

I think it's the exact opposite of that actually.

 

"You can now load/unload items which are not empty as well as drag them from one vehicle to another as long as they fit."

 

It was my impression that this was purposefully enabled as a quality of life feature.

  • Loading non-empty ships onto transporter will now adjust body strength requirement in comparison to total weight.
  • Bulk items will not be able to be moved while inside a ship loaded on a ship transporter.

Okay you are right about that, the changes are not very clear though, some experimenting will be required.

Those changes seem unambiguous.

 

Either way it could use testing because there appears to be an issue :)

There does seem to be an issue, Chakron.  I've alerted the devs to the problem.  If a server restart does not fix your ship, please put in a support ticket for the GM team to take a look at for you.

 

Can you tell me your server?  (You can forum PM me if you prefer)

This is on Xanadu. I'll open a support ticket if the problem persists after server restart.
