Warhammers and Artifacts`

Greetings all!

I propose that warhammers be made a craftable item on freedom and that each server get its own set of artifacts as epic/chaos have. Artis would be non mailable and respawn every 30 days. Leaving a server with an artifact in posession would cause it to respawn immediately. Only 1 arti on a toon at a time. Lets get those little used skills rolling!

Keep unique features to PvP servers only to erntice people over. +1 to making warhammers craftable though, albet less effective than Magranons hammer.

Artifacts have been rendered pointless imo by how enchanting works now and the rare system, to me a very sad state of affairs since Artifacts no longer draw anyone to the PvP server since anyone can craft/enchant their own Artifact now for all intensive purposes... (my 2 coppers worth)....

 

.... however, that being said.... -1 to artifacts on non-PvP servers. Such items should be greatly desired, fought over, and be instruments to create "content", and since such gameplay is impossible on a non-PvP server there is no justification to allow Artifacts to even exist on a non-PvP server as Wurm is designed at this point in time. As a permanent resident of Non-PvP servers exclusively I see no point in allowing them on those servers. My opinion and that hardly matters to most here but there you have it.

 

Since I know nothing about warhammers I will refrain from that one.

Rather than artis on freedom, just add it as a new crush/pierce combo weapon. (unexcistant atm in terms of functionality)

Where do I craft my 10% damage bonus item or shield that can block unlimited times a second till you run out of stamina or my instant 100% full heal. :(

Imagine a world where players got unlimited mouths and ears of vynora. lol. (aswell as using all the secondary and thirdly effects on artifacts)

So the point was that there wasn't unlimited artis running around pve but just a set for each server that were non transferrable x server and they reset each month so everyone gets a shot at finding them again to prevent stockpiling/hoarding forever. Perhaps this is just too different from the concepts on chaos to be accepted :)

No, its about retaining uniqueness to PvP servers which you clearly cannot understand.

No it's the part where none of it goes to freedom at all.

People have already voiced in favor of allowing freedom fiefdoms with their own graphics etc at a cost like pmks.

The sorcery spells etc should never have moved to the freedom cluster, it completely removed the uniqueness of the valrei system on epic by pouring valrei items in extreme quantities to freedom.

Freedom already shows how well " one person has it, but it will respawn"  goes. You just have to go look for it yourself. hint; its called uniques

 

 

-1 for artifacts on pve servers because people will just complain when the same dude gets them twice or something

Here's what would happen, based on Freedom's history:

1) ProArtiSeller and his ten priest alts would spam Locate Artifact during the wee hours of the morning when nobody's awake to compete.
2) He would then sell those artifacts for ridiculous prices on the forum, because people on Wurm will pay stupid amounts of money for anything that makes them unique.
3) The people who want to earn the artis legitimately or are otherwise not willing to pay 1g for a 30-day Sword of Mag will make a series of forum posts complaining about "pay-to-win arti sellers ruining the game" and "elite players controlling the economy".
4) In response to this, artifacts will start dropping from avatars of their respective gods at a 5% rate, but will have their respawns and travel restrictions removed so people can "enjoy the results of their hard work".
5) These artifacts will flood Chaos and widen the new-player PvP gap even further, while the people over on PvE will still complain that they're too hard to obtain. Rinse and repeat.

+1 to craftable warhammers and...

 

Creation only Clubs/Huge Clubs depending on carpentry skill!!!

It sucks having skills you can't grind or end up being useless in the long run. Clubs from trolls only go 45ql and the ones from uniques are way too difficult to get for how much they suck (65ql only?). And belaying pins are jokes

+1 to craftable warhammers. warhammers are nice weapons. hope if they're introduced they will also come with some properly awesome models.

i like zekes suggestion for a crush/pierce weapon, would probably even give the possiblity to enable both a 2h warhammer and a 1h warhammer closer to the medium maul. also change the current warhammer skill to the one for the 2h hammer and giving a new skill for the 1h one.

give warhammers a bonus to  crocs/scorps/bison and w/e else has high armor ratings.
