shared acc isnt a problem, its a problem when you must relog fast, for example while in pvp, its happening quite a lot and closing one client and waiting for 2nd to load up isnt an option as you might be dead by that time, so we just used to launch 2nd client without closing the 1st, in this way we were out of action only for a few secs and it worked very well

Easy fix, as the second client gets over halfway through the loading screen, close the first client.

It takes about half a second longer than it doing it automatically, but atleast you can still do it.

i think we should discuss here the way the client is/should be coded, not the way players should deal with (bad) codding ;p  but whatever, i can load up wurm in few secs anyway, just feel bad for ppl with slow machines when lodaing up wurm can even cause frezes...

I just noticed the new client thread was active again. I jut tried logging in. First problem right off was music didn't start until I was in the game and then it was stuttering bad. took at least twice as long to play as normal.

FPS in the woods where you are dropped by the token was a steady 7-8. Found my way to the water and looking across the water towards a ship it got up to ~32.

I'll have to go back though the thread to get the logs and info wanted. Hardware:

Athlon XP 2200+

1gb Ram

Nvidia Ti4600+

sound card is  Hercules Game Theater

W2k

Has anyone with an ATI Radeon HD card around the 4800 series noticed a decrease in memory leakage / crashing ?

Still have bad sound. loading music doesn't start until in the game and skips and stutters bad like a cd player in an off road truck. Other sonds in game also stutter. It sounds like when I don't have full hardware sound set in the main game.

When I have the terrain resolution set to minimum on my old laptop (integrated ati), the water surface flashes like a disco light. All of the other settings are also on minimum, however putting terrain resolution to medium or higher fixes it.

When I have the terrain resolution set to minimum on my old laptop (integrated ati), the water surface flashes like a disco light. All of the other settings are also on minimum, however putting terrain resolution to medium or higher fixes it.

Noticed that on my alt on the released client too.

My the low end of my  FPS is slightly better with the newest release. Around 40-60, with only slight dips to 35.

However some items seems to have lost their textures when I walked away from them and came back, probably due to the texture unloading update. I can post logs (which didn't really show anything) and pics if needed. I'll be on IRC if you need me to test more.

Something new I got in console (3 times at startup):

Null XSi_Image for "" in RootTemplate . Loading model anyway..

Also I've been getting this in the main client, but got it lots more on test today:

Could not hide light as it was already hidden

This is with hardware sound? Does it happen with software sound too?

I haven't used software sound setting in a long time ever since I found out that was why I had such bad sound problems in caves. every time the pick sound was used it was a long drawn out echo instead. Switching to full hardware setting fix it.

Just tried with software sound and music didn't skip like it was. Instead it was so faint I had to restart and max all the settings to hear it and found it was cutting out. In game walking on stone still sounded like the reverb effect. Cricket sound was the only sound I could really hear and that played correctly. Also, sound seem mostly only come from the right speaker.

I logged into the test server last night, and though testing is very limited due to lack of tools...

I died to a snake, when I respawned, many textures ( bush/tree ) were not working. Only birch trees worked as intended. Some like grape and another tree appeared to have a brown horse or cow texture. others were blocky red or blue squares, others seemed larger then intended with textures but blocky. Many items appear to have no texture at all, just grey or white, including the female JK model, rope and weapons.

Another player said a relog fixes it.

Again, please fix gattica deed so you can pickup items on deed if dropped, this will lesson the burden of having no tools because of a chance to have a new weapon after death...

I clicked on the link in the op & it said was downloading (I was using the test client a week ago) but the startup windows stills says 2.6.8-1493.

- I noticed when it launched, the ver number changed to 1526.

And just as it was finishing loading the area, it crashed with 'You found a bug!"

* Bugfix: Make sure reflections can't be enabled when not supported.

* Bugfix: Compass was sometimes displayed when it shouldn't be.

* Make compass fade out when you start moving, and fade in when you stop.

* Bugfix: Crash when logging on while embarked.
