cannibalism, all that bad?

Recommended Posts

Per title, discuss.

I was thinking, we'd go well some some smoked bbq sauce.

Maybe sauted in butter and garlic.

.discuss.

"I sauteed the steak of Bernd, with salt, pepper, garlic and nutmeg. I had it with Princess croquettes, Brussels sprouts and a green pepper sauce. The flesh tastes like pork, a little bit more bitter, stronger. It tastes quite good."

- German cannibal Armin Meiwes during a 2007 TV interview.

Sharks almost always spit us out again so I've assumed we taste like rubbish... But maybe that's because we have pretty large bladders so that when they take us in one bite it taints the meat. Perhaps we're not so disgusting after all, with a bit of spice and some sauce.

Additionally, I think sharks are aware of how inexplicitly tastey we are, and show disdain as a sign of status. Of course, they have rediculous amounts uric acid in their blood so how much do we trust their judgement?

So, here's to Wurm meet, 2017!

Never had issues with it in old school BL (pre-MR implementation).

In fact whenever JK tried attacking it was like ordering takeout... and they delivered. Zoom Zoom. :D

It seems that a person needs to be infected, to be contaigious ( transmission via consumption of infected material.)

So as long as I avoid eating fellas from that region, I'll be alright, right?

Everything on Wiki says that it's fairly localized. Or so says my interpretation.

So I guess one could open a clinic, and after testing patients and confirming clean status, feast?

I wonder how long this was going on before being detected. Is this a natural mutation due to cannibalism, or is it a localized mutation due to some infection which was consumed during the ritualistic practice?

By no means is this comprehensive, though it is interesting that mad cow disease and baaad sheep disease are all related by their basic function of poor protien folding techniques.

Still havent seen a solid answer on how this manifests, again: spontaneous as a function of cannibalism, or via consumption of infected/mutated flesh?

One alt is a sheetfolder, i should be ok, right?

Thing is, when you eat prions from your same species, between cooking and/or digestion, the odds are relatively high that one of them will be altered juuust enough to be pathogenic but still similar enough to cause havoc in your system... very very very long story short.

Arguably the best part.

So it could happen at any point, this ingestion of bad juju and then you're screwed. You may not know it for years, even.

Interesting, how we're almost built to be naturally defensive against cannibalism as a species.

I am intrigued at the adaptation menioned in your wiki link, Mord. Seems that some folk are resistant to kuru.

Seems that the zombie apocalypse will be self fixing.

Anyone up to build some vaults with me? I have some experiments in mind.

Good progress so far; it keeps rubbing the lotion into its skin.
