[Fixed] Gathering increase rune on an imbued pickaxe lowers the avg. ql

[13:04:35] A tool for mining. This is a very rare and interesting version of the item. The pickaxe has some dents that must be flattened by a hammer.

[13:04:35] A single bronze rune of Libila has been attached to it, so it will gather resources at a higher quality level (10%)

[13:04:35] Circle of Cunning has been cast on it, so it will increase skill gained with it when used. [98]

Since I imbued it, mining ore from a vein of [13:06:17] It has a max quality of 99. shows much worse average ore qualities:

 

at 81.6 mining i used to get around 80 average quality over 100 ores (nothing under 20.5ql because that seemed to be the minimum - 3 ores at that ql)

at 81.7 mining WITH rune I got 73 average quality over 100 ores (lowest being 2.50ql, 9.62ql, 16.29ql...)

 

obviously a bug, as there was no warning or indication that runes do not work with imbues

more than that, you can only replace runes, not remove them.....

 

Steps to reproduce

get 2 identical stat rare pickaxes (same ql, same woa, same coc, same imbue) - add a rune of +10% gathering to one, mine with both from the same vein on the same char 100 times, then compare qualities of the piles

Can confirm that the average QL is worse on a 10% increase with imbue than just an imbue.

@Alectrys Can you please confirm this was added to the bug list.

I have seen the problem with both my rare 100% imbued 90QL hatchet and rare 100% imbued 90QL Pickaxe.

Once a fix and/or change is implemented, further testing by you all is appreciated.

This should be addressed with today's patch update.  The rune should increase the quality cap mined.   http://www.wurmonline.com/2016/12/15/5620/

 

Please share your new test results as I don't have a runed or imbued pickaxe on the live servers.  Thanks!
