Cooking while hunting & Mulched Tiles

Recommended Posts

Only important to HOTS, but the ability to create a tile resistant to Myc but still able to be planted with Fruit Tree's or other resource bearing shrub (for example grapes) which could then be harvested without the need to absorb the myc.   The ability to change dirt or sand tiles to be converted to a "Mulched Tile" by the addition of "Saw Dust".  The "Saw Dust" would be created using a saw on a log.  I suggest the creation of "Saw Dust" to prevent the accidental conversion of ordinary tiles to the new "Mulched Tile".  This would make it feasible for HOTS to have large fields of resource bearing trees and shrubs, similar to other servers which don't have to deal with Myc.

Secondly, the ability to rummage clay tiles to get enough clay to make a quick clay bowl to make a meal.  In real life you could scrape enough clay with your hands to make a bowl.  This way you wouldn't have to carry a shovel everywhere you go.  I needed to make a meal last night, and could not find a "branch" to be able to cook a pig (my sword, knife, everything else I had with me can't dig and I can't cut a "branch").  If concerned about littering the landscape with bowls make it a special bowl with high decay.  Or, alternatively allow making a single-use wooden bowl with a carving knife that could be left in the fire to be consumed.

+1

Myc has always been a hindrance to nature skills for HoTS and now with the new cooking system more players that wish to use the system need to harvest more produce, having to absorb myc every time you harvest is pain staking slow, 40seconds + time to harvest + travelling back and forth to a thorn bush or how ever you inflict damage to yourself.

Personally I'd like myc removed, it plagues HoTS land with no real added benefit that couldn't be matched by having grass tiles to for/bot. Sure you can heal with no cotton, but who runs around with no cotton? A newb I hear you say, well if said newb had grass to for/bot they'd also be able to find cotton if they ever found themselves in a situation they needed it. There's also added benefit of having grass to for/bot on for the rare rolls which would definitely help new players get a few coins plus help them get their seeds and stuff for making farms and surviving in general.
