Regional Crafting Title for Items

Recommended Posts

I was thinking -- IRL we have Swiss watches, Italian fashion, German cars, French food, etc.  What if there was an in game mechanic similar to this?  So we might see Celebration coal, Independence pie, Pristine pork pie, Release Rat on a Stick, Exodus altars, Deliverance huge axes, Chaos cookies, etc...  One way to implement would be: The server that creates the most items over 90 ql of a certain type over a 3 month period earns the option to add a regional title to the item.  The title gives some minor bonus to the item.  Go catch some Xanadu trout!

With a huge cooking update just released, and so many people scrambling to discover new and interesting foods, this would definitely bring more attention all around. I could certainly see large groups of people getting together to get their server name on a certain item.

This sounds like a nice idea. Would make up for interesting challenges too... like Deliverance got some title, but the people from Inde want that one... so the people from Inde start challenging the ones from Deliverance to get the title instead - by, for example, cafting lots of the items that the title refers to.

That's the idea :).  A little friendly fun, some tittles, and minor bonuses for people.  Everyone wins :).

Sounds like a nice idea to me but it might be mechanically challenging to do.

Something that might work would be giving every item a flag that expires after a round and only items with this flag are counted.

+1 if someone can figure out the technical parts
