Bashing house wall - too much damage to maul

QL 33 large maul against a low QL stone house wall that is only barely started, containing 1 brick and 1 mortar.  Maul took 20 damage from one action, or about 3 damage each bash sound, during that 1 action. Deed and house owner. Wall successfully destroyed.

 

I then compared to bashing a low stone wall of 23QL. Single bash action damaged the maul (now only 28QL after repairing) by only .06 and did 10 damage to the fence.
