It won't work anymore after the update is released and we will all be eating high QL raw pumpkins for a month.

I see no problem there, more filling - less nutrition.. problem remains.. you wont need 10-30kg meals ql1-2.. but you'll need to eat another meal/sandwich in ~5-10minutes.. as low nutrition burns trough the hunger bar fast... as a noob.. I remember LOVING the shrooms and pumpkins.. of high ql.. to get 'decent' food/nutrition w/o having to cook ql1-5-10 meals, after 15-20+ hfc.. fatty food was on the table, 71nutrition at ql20 meals heated to hot.. not that bad.. imo 90nutrition comes ~79-80ql meals heated to 'hot' before eating all that's soon to be old data probably.. Posted October 19, 2016 I'd love for the new food system not to bite newbies in the bum as much as it does now. If nutrition was removed entirely it would probably be for the best, but I know a lot of people get night terrors when I request that. When Xanadu launched we tried out the whole newbie experience thing since you couldn't bring your character there, and the eating was the single biggest challenge we encountered since our gear sucked and it took 3 people just to kill a pig. That pig did in turn not even fill one of our food bars and as our nutrition continuously declined due to all the foraged crap etc we had to eat it was incredibly hard to gain any skill at all. Getting to enough mining to be able to place a minedoor at lowest nutrition was a downright horror story. Back when I started playing the food system was much better and much less unfair to unskilled players, and since we spend seemingly 90% of our time ingame eating nowadays it only seems fair they should get the same opportunity to stay fed as high-skilled ones. Posted October 19, 2016 Worksock, you can add pumpkins and oats to your meals to bulk them out and make them more filling.

Of course... it's dumb to get rid of hfc, some have invested coins, materials and clicks.. gone trough that carpal tunnel.. just to get QL90(+) meals.. and eat once every few hours.. vs every 30minutes and with that earn that extra 2% skillgains over non-skilled plebs. I'm one of these bored people who loved to click and drag things around.. in and out frying pans.. reached 89.x hfc and stopped.. 80ql+ meals were enough for me.. Foraged food is "ok" at first, some pumpkins weight 1kg.. along with some mushrooms with decent weight.. that's the main thing on the menu.. rest is cooking caserolles with ~anything that you could cook, fishing's an option when hunting isn't possible; but in general.. pumpkins are the best thing a noob could hope to find before hutting a guard tower and spamming the local for help to put some steak on the table. Quote Back when I started playing the food system was much better and much less unfair to unskilled players, and since we spend seemingly 90% of our time ingame eating nowadays it only seems fair they should get the same opportunity to stay fed as high-skilled ones. Having your hunger bar full and nutrition bar capped are 2 DIFFERENT THINGS, high nutrition currently offers the fancy premium experience of not having to bother about another meal for a few hours; noobs on the other side.. could carry a pumpkin or 2.. to munch on.. they'll be 'well' fed. It's a skill like any other, whoever wants could skill up and play with the fancy things, nobody limits anybody. Ignoring somebody's work, and asking for the same benefits without working for it.. that's unfair. 44 minutes ago, Baloo said: Worksock, you can add pumpkins and oats to your meals to bulk them out and make them more filling. Oats!? You mean 'bread' probably, I guess with some skill.. "Bread is often used to add weight to various food dishes, mainly meals. It can also be used to create a meal in itself, with some meat or fish. " @wiki
Posted October 19, 2016 I'm not sure of what if anything to give as response to your post, Finnn, since you quoted me but didn't actually respond to any of my expressed opinions. I just want to leave that here so it's clear I'm not affiliated with your interpretation of my post.
Posted October 20, 2016 +1 anything to lesson the starting blow of noobs that has pretty much 0 negatives and 0 effect on vets. Would even suggest having basic foods fill more; meat, cooked meat, fish, veggies etc, the obvious downside already is the nutrition that gets tanked. This is also obviously all said with the cooking update not in mind since I dunno anything about it really

This is also obviously all said with the cooking update not in mind since I dunno anything about it really +1.. as long their nutrition gets hammered in the ground.. there's the incentive to look into cooking and to start doing something for better nutrition.. else we'd all run around and munch on raw 'shrooms and pumpkins... wait.. some do that with sammiches(afaik their nutrition was low.. checked wiki.. it's 60% nutrition vs 40-50% from high ql raw 'veggie')
