Have two different iterations of server code for PVP servers and Freedom servers

Recommended Posts

This might help with decisions that are awesome and make PVE more fun and robust without changing or unbalancing the PVP mechanics.

Seeing all the great long overdue changes that PVP is getting is awesome, and this might help the Devs make decisions when it comes to PVP issues and concerns.

I'm sure there have been countless times that a Dev member has an awesome idea that will never see the light of day because it would cause issues on the PVP side of things...

Thanks for reading.

That's not really how it works, especially with how all of the servers are so interconnected on WO.

This would likely cause more of a headache in the dev process.

I fail to see how benches, bigger beds and differently coloured cloth armor being added into the game unbalances or changes PVP mechanics to be honest..

This is realy not needed. What they need to do is stop baby sitting pve servers. The only difference should be that pvp is disabled. That is how it is normaly done, with added that aggro's on pve should even be stronger and more than on pvp to balance it. But somehow here pve servers are treated like childrens daycare compared to pvp servers.

The changes that harm pvp are in fact only changes that dumb down the game, like auto lock attachments. A great example of baby sitting. Like a lock is so time consuming and difficult to make.

That was done because people on PvP enjoy playing such that they can steal from other groups/people. That's fine, but some players can't control themselves and only steal on the servers where theft is encouraged.

historically they developed this game totally focused on the pvp group preferences. Till they finally figured the vast majority prefer to play in the pve servers..
