Posted August 13, 2009 It is my few ideas about what should be implemented Read and comment please New skills: Glassblowing Tools: Basic item: glass bowling pipe (made from iron, 2kg, bs item), ql affect succes rate; needed to make unfinished glass items Pliers to hold and cut items (actually they are implemented, but uselees) Pelt to polish items (typical pelt) Water to cold items (plain water) Glass chunk to improve items (glowing glass chunk, similar as lumps), made from heap of sand in forge (20kg of sand -> 2kg glass chunk). subskills: -flatitems mirrors, glass windows and lamp glass -containers retorts, colbs, glass jars, glass flasks (both subskills can be replaced with plain glassblowing skill, but it will be more fun to have two subskills) Mirror: 2kg of glowing glass -> unfinished mirror + 0.2kg of glowing silver lump = mirror, improvable, uselless decorative item Glass window: 3kg of glowing glass -> unfinished window or window, improvable, can be mounted into windows, ql should be related to transparency of window Lamp glass: 0.5kg of glowing glass -> unfinished lamp glass or lamp glass, improvable, needet for new lamps with glass tops, ql should be related to transparency of lamp and affect light Retorts: 1kg of glowing glass -> unfinished retort or retort, improvable, needed for alchemist purposes, ql will affect rate of succes Conical (or erlenmeyer) flask: 0.5kg of glowing glass -> unfinished flask or flask, improvable, needed for alchemist purposes, ql will affect rate of succes Glass jar: 1kg of glowing glass -> unfinished glass jar or glass jar, improvable, it can replace pottery jar, poisons can be stored only in glass containers Glass flask: 0.3kg of glowing glass -> unfinished glass flask or glass flask, improvable, it can replace pottery flask, poisons can be stored only in glass containers Alchemy -poisonmaking Skill used to make poisons. Poison can be used in many ways. Tools needed: Retort, conical flask, glass jar, glass flask Generic poisons: They are made from dangerous plants and venoms. Ingriedients: Venom sacks (new item from butchering spiders and snakes), belladona, thornbush sprout, green mushroom Proces: Ingredient must be placed into conical flask, with water, and put onto fire in oven until boil. Ql of ingredient affect max ql of poison, skill affect succes rate of receiving max ql (for example, 1 poisonmaking will produce usualy 1-5ql poisons even from very good items, but sometimes it happens to make better). Such type of poison can be applied to weapon and for some time (rather short), those weapons will deal more damage or small damage over short period of time. Special posions: They should be possible to make after reaching for example 30 skill. They are made against specyfic types of monsters, and greatly increase damage dealt to them (such like demise speels a bit). Ingriedients: Glands and generic poison items. First step: Glands and glass flask, put onto fire, and wait for extraction (this step will use Natural Substancess skill!!) -> specific animal posion base (deer gland -> deer posion base etc..). Second step: poison base + generic poison -> Poison against [specific creature] Ql of poison depends on ingriedients ql and skill, also affects strength and longeviety of posion. Posted August 13, 2009 Mirrors with real reflexes should be problem, so for now it can be decorative item, without reflexes, only nice shinig surface About house walls.. Houses need serious recoding also, if devs want introduce taller buildings, so why not add option to put window? But it looks to me like people would just do pottery instead, most of the stuff you have under glass making is all but useless- excusing mirrors, which some people would enjoy. Posted August 14, 2009 Always loved the idea of extended alchemy and glassmaking. I still remember the threads on the old forum ^^ +1 Not sure about the mirror/glass sheet though.
