Lighting issue

Recommended Posts

Heyo!

I'm having a weird lighting issue at night and am wondering if anyone has any insight on what's going on. Whenever I move, lighting on ground tiles/buildings/objects/character models flickers. I've tried toggling pretty much every option available and playing around with the configuration file, but can't seem to figure out what's wrong. It happens in both stable and unstable clients, fullscreen/borderless/windowed, shadows on/off, glsl core/disabled, all other compatibility options core/disabled, etc. I tinkered with all of my graphics card settings but nothing helped. The only thing that seems to affect it is setting dynamic lights to 1 -- anything higher than (including unlimited) and the issue returns.

Here's a video showing what I'm talking about

I'm running on an FX8320, R9 390X, 16GB ram. Latest drivers and everything. I'm stumped.

Thanks for any help!

Lighting is being addressed with the 4.0 client (currently the most recent changes are with the UNSTABLE client)

You can try with both clients to see if you see any difference.  The issue is being followed here:  http://forum.wurmonline.com/index.php?/topic/141532-various-lighting-problems-40-unstable/

You can download the unstable client here http://www.wurmonline.com/client/wurmclient_unstable.jnlp
