Posted July 19, 2016 (edited) If the game checked gate permissions one tile away from the gate (instead of when you're trying to push your way through it), it would mostly eliminate gate lag, which is really annoying when you're trying to get somewhere (or get away from something). Even if it means the gates graphically open one tile sooner, I would think that is an acceptable compromise. Just a thought, it would smooth out the gameplay.
