that's just laziness. This isn't the first time this has been suggested. and laziness isn't an excuse for avoiding quality of life improvements.

or you know you could fix poor coding and let them go into mailboxes
more or less seems like a coding oversight that was never fixed.

e: more or less if we go by what you're saying we should just get rid of mailboxes, if it's too hard to pick something up, find someone to pick it up for you.
