If next rift will open just behind your deed, destroying your 'personal' highly preserved area. And fighters will clear cut area around, leaving there chaos of temporary fences and shacks. Will you be happy, rift was close enough to you? Or will you beat head into wall, that few hours travel would be better than your beloved area corrupted for months or even years?
