Mailing items limited to 10 times?

Recommended Posts

Hey all,

maybe I am the last one to notice,

and only made aware of it by a customer

who seriously intends to travel 3 hours instead mailing an item,

because you can only mail an item 10 times in total?

If you put your item in the mailbox and attempt to send it, there is a little counter in the column "left".

That's supposed to show how often you can mail something.

What if someone mails their stuff to get it imped, doesn't know what this is,

and can't get it mailed back because it ran out of mailing options?

Would be so frustrating if I had to travel for everything I need imped.

Beside the negative effects on "custom enchant" and "improving stuff" busineness.

Can we have this "feature" removed please?

I would much prefer to mail my stuff to my favourite crafters for imps.

And as a priest I have no other option than to have others help me with the crafting.

What do you think?

Yes pls remove that limit, never saw the point in having it.

Doesnt Wurm gets 1c each time we mail something? So why even limit that...

+1 to losing the 10 times limit for mailing.  Just for history's sake, I believe the limit was made due to pvp, players mailing out their valuables so they could not be taken during raids.  But I still agree the limit needs to be removed.

Or just prevent items from being mailed when a premium enemy is in local.

Also, moved to Suggestions & Ideas.

I would just remove the mailing of items to a PVP server.  It seems counter intuitive to PvP to have means of safe delivery that can be picked  up anywhere.

Then after that, remove the # of times mailed.  If they want a risk or limitation they should have a chance for "damaged" shipping, but that's something towards the extreme of things.

CodeClub Bonus!  If the limits are removed we could spend more money mailing stuff!!   (lets see if that logic works) :D

Thanks all for the responses. I would not remove mailing from pvp servers. They want their stuff imped by others too perhaps? enchanted? Or just buying stuff from outside? PVP is a difficult field i see that. Balancing it and all. Nobody is really inconvenienced by other pvpers mailing their valuable stuff away huh? After all, they could just mail those that have mailing options left and hide the rest otherwise. *shrug*

I agree this 10 mailing limit should be removed. Now with the much lowered mailing costs (beneficial to all and trade) items are no doubt mailed more frequently so this limit may be more quickly reached.

If they cared about the money from mailing they wouldnt have dropped the cost to mail so low.  So no money doesnt seem to be much of a motivator for them.

100% agree with this one. :) Sure makes keeping a high ql rare+ ropetool in tip top shape having that limit.

An axe I bought has 0 mails left.  Sort of seems like I have been scammed as I can't mail it away for imps.  I dislike having to ask how many mails an item has left before purchasing it.  Please remove this limit

Do you two even PVP. Never seen a wurmhole or Aum on chaos, and as for epic, i can not vouch. Its really funny how people who don't PVP whine and get things changed on Chaos and Epic. While the people who actually do PVP never wanted anything to get changed.

+1 would like to mail things across a pvp server like chaos to get casts on them without riding idk, 4 HOURS on a horse. The limit of 10 is quite silly. Please remove dev's. please.

it is me being sarcastic and annoyed at the same time.  So many restrictions are put on pve, to support some mechanic that pvp needs.  That is why pve was jumping for joy when we could lead, embark and still be leading.  That was a huge victory for the pve camp.

No, no wurmhole (only my forum name) or any of my current alts go to chaos or epic.  No thank you :)
