When a rift is closed, several piles of ash appear and QL 99.

Those are the creatures you didn't killed, they vanished (you shut down their connection after all) and turn to ash.

Forge and loom at the new rift.  Picked up a couple gold achievements that are specific to rifts. Nice to see they exist :)  Saving up a bunch of reward gear to add to spreadsheet in the future.

More info on Rift mechanics:

Hitched horses (Wagon and cart) get attacked!  Not sure if devs intended this or not.  Led horses also get attacked, but that I believe is intended.  Rift beasts seem to agro everything but the horse you are mounted on.

rift creatures ignoring horses that are mounted might be a bug

we're probably supposed to use horses with the rift trait to prevent rift creatures from attacking them

or thats the purpose... so enemies can come and engage, horses get killed, then its a fight on ground how most people like from the old days before horses, right? everyone cries game was better before all these fast horses.... that makes it sorta like it, right? now they cant run.

Is there a AH requirement to see this trait?

That is the kingdom mark, not a trait.

Noep.

            else if (x == 27) {
                Traits.treatDescs[x] = "It bears the mark of the rift.";

Also you need Skill>X+20 to see traits, so it should be visible at 47

That new deluxe butcher was the likely cause of your HD meltdown, soooo powerful.

You are missed, Gumbo ~ we need to talk!  And nothing of your creation would cause such a meltdown. ;-)
