Posted May 4, 2016 (edited) I split a bridge ramp into 2 sections to accommodate a villager living at the middle tier. Going up the bridge, when I hit the round cobblestone tile between bridges it's like hitting a wall. Speed drops to dirt level until I reach the second bridge. Both the bridges and the tile between are 20 slope exactly. This happens both on foot and horse/cart. Edit: Looking at the numbers as I run up the ramp, it might be that the bridge is too fast, not the pavement too slow...more testing to do.
